Officer Bios
President Bob Gillman has been dowsing for the past
nine years. Since 1998 he has managed the chapter databases and provided
miscellaneous support activities. He is the web site designer and webmaster for
the Verde Valley Chapter and the Southwest Dowsing Conference. He was
Co-Director of the 2000 Southwest Dowsing conference with Michele Fitzgerald. He
served as registrar and handled many other areas of support for the 2003
Conference. He is a Basic Dowsing School Instructor for the Southwest Dowsing
Conference in 2003 and for the Senzar Learning Center since 2002
Vice-President Jack Baxter has been dowsing for more
than 20 years and is an accomplished dowsing tool fabricator. He's an
accomplished water dowser and has been an associate of Ed Stillman, Past Chapter
President, in their water location business in Northern Arizona for more than 7
years. He learned how to dowse from Zavoy Harvalik and participated in his
experiments on the influence of electromagnetic energy on dowsing. He is a past
President of the Zavoy Harvalik ASD Chapter in Virginia, has been a Basic
Dowsing School Instructor at both the West Coast and Southwest regional dowsing
conferences. He has been a member of the ASD Southwest Dowsing Conference
committee for the past three conferences.
Founding President Mary Marie Satterlee is a lifetime member
of ASD. A trustee from 1985 to 2004, she has been active in many capacities at
more than 65 dowsing conferences. In the past, she has been Dowsing School
Director and teacher, presenter, director and /or co-director for the West Coast
Conference, and she continues to serve on the West Coast Conference Committee.
She chaired the Annual Convention at Danville, Vermont in 1988 and 1989, and
received the coveted Dowser of the Year award in 1989. She served as ASD Trustee
Secretary for two years, and Vice President of the Southwest region for two
years. She founded the Verde Valley chapter and was its first president. She
also served six years as president of the San Jose Chapter.
Past President Michele Fitzgerald taught herself how to dowse
twenty-two years ago when she happened upon a pair of L-rods and an instruction book at a
Sedona bookstore. Michele has a special interest in earth energies and has
spoken on the subject at the West Coast, Mid-south and National dowsing
conferences. She currently serves as the director of Senzar Learning Center, where
she uses dowsing to help clients solve a wide range of problems, and
teaches advanced dowsing applications to students from across the
United States and the United Kingdom. She has been the Vice-president of the
Verde Valley Chapter for the past eight years. She was co-director of the 2000 Southwest Dowsing Conference with
Bob Gillman.
Past President Ed Stillman was the president of the
chapter from 1994 - 2004. He has been a professional water dowser in Northern
Arizona for 20 years. He has also been a presenter at the ASD West Coast
Conference for the last 20 Consecutive years and a Basic Dowsing School
instructor for the last 14 years. He, with Mary Marie Satterlee, directs the
Basic and Specialized Dowsing Schools of the Southwest Dowsing Conference. Ed is
retired from both a private practice in clinical biofeedback and from
Lockheed-Martin Co. As ASD Scientific Advisor, he has done research in the
brainwave activity of dowsers while dowsing and has published articles in the
ASD Journal. He is currently ASD Education Advisor and sits on the Board
of Trustees for the Water for Humanity Project of ASD. He was named ASD Dowser
of the Year in 1999.
Past Secretary/Treasurer Carolyn Stillman was the
Secretary/Treasurer of the chapter for ten years. She is married to Ed Stillman.
Carolyn is a home and remodel
designer in Sedona, Arizona. She incorporates feng shui and her
work with the spirits of the land into all of her home designs.
In addition to studying architecture, she has studied feng shui
with Catherine Metz, Shawn Xenia, and David Howie. Carolyn is a
skilled dowser and combines her feng shui knowledge and noxious
energy solutions to enhance the livability of her clients' homes. She is the
Director of both the 2003 and 2005 Southwest Dowsing Conferences sponsored by
the Verde Valley Chapter and held in Flagstaff, AZ.
